Following the first concert of our 2025 Concert Series which featured an incredible performance from Bria Skonberg and some amazingly talented musicians, many of our patrons wanted to learn more about this dynamic group! Bria Skonberg is a Juno-award winning artist, 12x Downbeat Rising Star, recipient of the Legend Award by the Society for the Preservation of the Great American Songbook and a 2025 nominee for the prestigious "Academie du Jazz" awards. The trumpeter, vocalist, and songwriter has been called the “shining hope of hot jazz”.

Topeka Jazz is excited to announce the Us air force Airmen of Note concert at Topeka Performing Arts Center happening on May 5th, 2025!

After rehearsing weekly over the past six weeks, the middle and high school jazz bands celebrated another year of music with their final concert of the 2024-25 school year.

Bob Bowman, a native Kansan, learned to play the piano and clarinet before beginning to play bass at age 12. He won a scholarship to the Stan Kenton Jazz Clinic as a high school freshman, followed by study at North Texas State University.
