Brant Jester Trio
CONCERT OVERVIEW
One of Kansas City’s finest and most sought-after pianists, Brant Jester brings his trio to our stage to close out the 2026 season. Beyond performing, Brant is a dedicated teacher and adjudicator, as well as a composer and arranger who writes for both jazz ensemble and choral music. He has shared the stage with many of KC’s finest artists and hosts the Jazz in the Afternoon show on KKFI Community Radio. Join us in the TPAC Main Auditorium for a fitting finale to our 2026 series.
ABOUT BRANT JESTER
A native of Ozark, Missouri, Brant Jester holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in music from Missouri State University and the University of Missouri–Kansas City, and has become one of the busiest pianists on the greater Kansas City scene as a performer, instructor, adjudicator and accompanist. The former pianist of the Missouri Jazz Orchestra (MOJO), he has shared the stage with an impressive roster of artists including Bobby Watson, Carl Allen, Lynn Seaton, Bob Bowman and Julian Coryell. A composer and arranger as well — he serves as resident composer and arranger for the Springfield Chamber Chorus and writes for both jazz ensemble and choral settings — Jester also gives back to the community as a jazz DJ for KKFI’s Jazz in the Afternoon and as a board member for the UMKC Jazz Friends. His trio brings warmth, swing and deep musicianship to a fitting close for the 2026 season.
